Don Francisco Undurraga, hombre emprendedor del siglo XIX, fue uno de los pioneros de la vitivinicultura en Chile y fundador de Viña Undurraga. Con plantas traídas personalmente desde Francia y Alemania y bajo la supervisión del conocido viticultor francés M. Pressac, desarrolló los primeros viñedos en el fundo Santa Ana.
Este fundo, ubicado en Talagante, a 34 Km. de Santiago, en el corazón del Valle del Maipo, supo de las primeras plantaciones de las cepas Cabernet Sauvignon, Sauvignon Blanc, Merlot, Pinot Noir, Riesling y Gewürstraminer en el año 1885 y ya en el año 1903, se enviaban los primeros embarques a EE.UU.
Don Francisco Undurraga, enterpriser man of the XIXth century, was one of the pioneers of the vine culture in Chile and founder of Undurraga Vineyard. With plants brought personally from France and Germany and under the supervision of the well-known French vine grower M. Pressac, developed the first vineyards in the Santa Ana farm.
This farm located in Talagante, 34 km far from Santiago, in the heart of the Valley of Maipo, knew of the first plantations of the vines Cabernet Sauvignon, Sauvignon Blanc, Merlot, Pinot Noir, Riesling and Gewürstraminer in the year 1885 and already in the year 1903, were sending the first shipments to the USA.
Today, with more than 120 years of tradition, Undurraga is present with their trade in more than 60 countries of the five continents.

Este terreno, localizado em Talagante, a 34 Km. de Santiago, no coração do Valle del Maipo, soube das primeiras plantações das cepas Cabernet Sauvignon, Sauvignon Blanc, Merlot, Pinot Noir, Riesling e Gewürstraminer no ano 1885 e já no ano 1903, se enviavam os primeiros embarques a EE.UU.
